Dim Sum Dialogues in Thailand: The sounds of Siam... →
I love the thought of recording sound in addition to pictures as a means to capture a travel experience.  The short videos I have from my trips this year instantly bring me back to the moments spent in every location mainly due to the background noise - the waves/birds on the beach, the sounds of firecrackers on New Years, people hustling about at a train station, bells on bicycles. In Berlin, I...

61st Emmy Awards: Lipton Green Vitali Tea Gift...
I feel like I owe you a brief summary… To our delight the gift lounge opening was pushed back to 12:00pm which for us meant a nice breakfast at Bottega Louie (yes again –there’s not much downtown) and a leisurely start to the day.(Ed: also check out downtown Corkbar, Ciudad, the Edison) The first few hours in the “Lipton Green Vitali Tea” gift lounge were rather slow so I decided to...

URBANE NOMADS →
“Urbane Nomads offers interesting travel experiences, proffering locations and accompanying experiences that re-define ‘the ultimate travel experience’. Our travel experiences go beyond the almost-clichéd ‘ski in the morning, swim in the Mediterranean sea by afternoon’ itinerary, nor is it just about holing up in a luxury resort in a remote area; completely oblivious...

Tumble on (Ed:sing it like Led Zepp's Ramble On)
Hope all of you (yes all 5 of you) had a nice weekend. Mine was pretty low key (much needed down time) and I spent most of yesterday watching the entire first season of GREEK - so now I have a new show to keep me busy. Though I do in fact have a few posts I’ll try to get up by the end of the day, I’m gonna be lazy this morning and send you over to fixmyhead who rounded up some Tumblrs...

Perhaps don’t go see this movie via medium crazy →
In case you were even considering going to see Sandra Bullock’s new film “All About Steve” this holiday weekend, Medium Crazy did us all a favor by pulling together some of the horrid reviews this film has already received. I can tell by the trailer, and the ridiculously awful hairdo Sandra is sporting in said trailer (bad shag), that this movie looks absolutely horrible- and I...

LABOR... AROUND THE APT.
Slow news day. I’m trying to wrap up all the loose ends here at the office so I can leave at a normal hour. No big plans for this weekend so it may be time to get back to some of the projects  I started earlier this summer and of course never finished… Scanning old photos Polaroid Land Camera - Black& White trial Continue to de-clutter Re-paint a desk Possibly find (or create)...

Just a thought...
Since tumblr is better suited for all things linkable (& public viewing), I think I am going to keep this site for my “web musings” and shift my personal trials, tribulations, tales and what-not to a fancy smancy Wordpress-style journal. Site is still TBD but I’ll let you know when all systems are go…name suggestions welcome

POST PARKING: Rent out your space in your parking lot, lawn or driveway! Posting your space(s) is FREE!

Pretty cool. A great excuse to visit some of the more obscure museums in your city that usually cost a pretty penny or two. Museums and cultural venues accross the U.S. are participating… register on Smithsonian Magazine’s website (free too) and print out the admission card. To see the full list of NYC venues & museums outside the city (and across the country) click HERE ...
