JULY WRAP-UP
It’s that time again!
It took a while but finally the weather has caught up and summer on the east coast is in full swing – the air is heavy, the sun is scorching and Fridays in the office are a joke (unfortunately, unlike most of NYC, we still have full days here at BB). This July was pretty uneventful for me (in regard to activities, but that was self imposed. Spent a lot of time on...

Sweat It Out
Let me get something straight. I have never been a yoga person. Adamantly against it. For years I’ve been chastised by my friends about my negative attitude towards om-ing, downward dog or whatever it is you’re supposed to pretzel into - it’s glorified stretching. There are naps involved in yoga so it cannot qualify as an athletic activity plus I’ve never understood how sitting in a...

A Tad Discouraged
I think I’ve finally found a few programs I would be interested in pursuing for grad school, however I’m a tad discouraged by the art and language pre-requisites (French & German! - at least the French part I could dust off a bit) needed to apply (why did I only take history & film courses in college again?) in addition to science lab experience. It would take me 2 years to...

quickly, i ran around to the driver’s side, unlocked my car, and got in. i looked up just in time to see him finally corral the ball into his hands,...
The Great Equalizer
While walking home from the Union Sq area I passed one of the regular (Santa Claus looking) hobos in my neighborhood lounging on the sidewalk. He asked me for a dime. Per usual I sped past pretending not to hear him, assuming he will use whatever money I give him to buy booze. Now as I sit in the coffee shop across the street (stupid Time Warner internet- I hate you) this particular Santa hobo is...

Pack My Bags...
As summer slips away at an enormous rate, it’s time to make sure every weekend action-packed. With that in mind I’ve scheduled some exciting little excursions in the next few weeks, hopefully culminating with a jaunt overseas (Barcelona, Lisbon perhaps? Any reccomendations aprreciated) in the fall.
On tap so far:
Boston - visit some buddies
Lake George - Camping trip! (30 person...

Ha, our CEO quotes this famous line at every full-staff office meeting, over and over again…how ironic. It all makes so much sense now.

Oops.
I noticed only a few hours ago that coincidentaly (more so accidentally) I am wearing the same exact dress & accessories I was wearing last year on this very date (Ali’s bday). I rarely wear exactly the same thing ever, so this is quite amusing. Guess July 21 is a purple day! Ha. (next year I’ll just wear it on purpose)

We Choose the Moon: Command Service Module Ignites →
I love space (esp.the history of space exploration - please check out the Discovery Channel’s “When We Left Earth”). This is site pretty cool and very interactive. Play around (even if none of this ever happened. We have quite active imaginations, don’t we? :P )
Chance I get any work done today? Nil.
Sad
Today is the funeral of a friend’s mother. She only found out she had late stage cancer a month ago. So sad. Life is too short. Take care of yourself.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Alanis Morissette & Alicia Silverstone spoof the typical indie film genre in a short they created for Funny or Die - and it’s dead on. Watch. If you’ve seen enough indie films you’ll like.

Came accross this site for a project I’m working on. Little disturbed (& amazed). AM is a dating service for married folk who intentionally want to set up a discreet rendevouz. Way to corner a niche market.

NASA Releases Restored Moon Landing Footage →
“The restoration doesn’t bring the quality up to HD or anything, but it’s a definite improvement over the video we’ve been used to seeing for the last 30 years.”
Maybe they just re-shot it…he he
Seriously, I’m not convinced this event actually occured anymore (thanks dad)
